Have you ever walked into someone’s home and just thought, “Wow; this really works”? Their furniture placement and size, the wall color–it all just works very well in their space. It does not have to be an unrealistic or unattainable goal; you too can have your guests saying the exact same thing! All you need is a little foresight, some research, and planning. At RNR Moving, we think there is no better time to decide furniture placement than when you do not yet have furniture in the space!
1. Measure:
If you have furniture already that you plan on moving into your new space, go ahead and measure and record it. If your new space is not far, go in and measure the room. (Pro-Tip: taking pictures will help you visualize your furniture in your new space) If you do not yet have furniture, keep the measurements of your room in mind when searching for new pieces.
2. Movement Is Essential:
You want your room to flow, and obviously, you want to be able to move in the space with ease. Creating a simple furniture arrangement that is both functional and appealing to the eye is key in moving into your new place.
3. Making Old Pieces Work:
While you may want to get rid of all of your old furniture and start fresh, that is impractical for most. At RNR Moving, we will ensure all of your furniture arrives just as it left your old place! Even larger items, such as pianos, are no problem for our skillful movers. While you may want to upgrade a few pieces, the bulk of your furniture will likely go unchanged, which is why we make sure to take care of it, as if it were our own.
